I can’t remember when I first became interested in photography. It was long before I bought my first decent camera almost 40 years ago. Since then I’ve been everything from rank amateur to semi professional and back again.
These days I take pictures mainly for my own pleasure and to illustrate my web sites. Being unconstrained by commercial considerations gives me the freedom to experiment with my photography and make images that I really enjoy.
Although I love being outdoors for it’s own sake, it is my landscape photography that is my most usual reason for being there.
It is little surprise then that taking my cameras with me is a major consideration when planning a trip to the Arctic. In these pages I will discuss the special challenges and techniques that come with sub zero photography.
